Who Should Attend?
This course is aimed at professionals who are at the beginning of their resilience journey, as well as experienced practitioners seeking to formalize, strengthen or refresh their business continuity knowledge.
Ideally, delegates should have a basic grounding in BCM and its terminology before taking the course. However, this is not mandatory, as pre-reading material will be provided.
Course Objectives
Comprising six carefully designed modules, this course ensures a comprehensive revision of best practices in business continuity, thoroughly preparing you for the BCI Certificate exam:
- Module 1: Establishing a BCMS (PP1)
- Module 2: Embracing Business Continuity (PP2)
- Module 3: Analysis (PP3)
- Module 4: Solutions Design (PP4)
- Module 5: Enabling Solutions (PP5)
- Module 6: Validation (PP6)
The structure of the CBCI Certification Course is based on the Good Practice Guidelines 7.0 Edition (GPG), which reflects current global thinking in Business Continuity and is aligned with ISO 22301, the international standard for Business Continuity Management.
Examination (Online)
The examination comprises of 90 multiple-choice questions, to be answered within 1.5 hours (additional time for non-native English speakers).
Those who pass the examination are entitled to use the post-nominal designation CBCI – Certified by the Business Continuity Institute (BCI).
The online examination can be taken at a time and date of the student’s preference within 2 months after completion of the course.
Fees
The course fees include the BCI royalty and examination fees, as well as the learning materials and a copy of the BCI Good Practice Guidelines.
The BCI uses data from the World Bank to determine its pricing structure. Course fees depend on the place of residency or company registration.
