The course is aimed at professionals who have a foundational understanding of Business Continuity and Risk Management and those who require an in-depth and practical understanding of how to carry out a Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Risk Assessment (RA) at all levels of an organisation.
Course Objectives
The objectives of this training course are to understand:
- The core concepts of Business Impact Analysis.
- The purpose and use of the primary techniques of analysis: Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Risk Assessment (RA).
- The different types of BIA, their purpose, and the generic activities undertaken to develop a BIA.
- MTPD and RTO, and how these are determined.
- Using BIA outputs to inform the design of continuity strategies.
This course provides an in-depth look into the Analysis Professional Practice of the Business Continuity Management System. The course is broken down into 6 modules over 2 days, using case studies and practical exercises. It is based on the BCI Good Practice Guidelines 7.0 Edition and reflects the current global thinking from ISO 22301:2019 and ISO 22317:2021.
Course Accreditation
All students will receive an official Certificate of Attendance directly from the Business Continuity Institute (BCI). Completion of this course entitles delegates to 16 CPE/CPD credits.
Course Fees
The course fees include the BCI royalty fees as well as the learning materials.
The BCI uses data from the World Bank to determine the pricing structure. Course fees depend on the place of residency or company registration.
